Remembering Mama Christine

On the 17th December 2025, we were saddened to learn of the passing of one of our beloved founders, mentor and sister, Christine Watts. Christine was a warm, loving, highly intelligent and witty woman. She trained as a Priestess of Avalon in Glastonbury under the guidance of Kathy Jones and sought to bring the Goddess to others who heard her calling. She also had a long history of being a practicing witch, earning her the nickname of 'Mama Witch'.

For many of us at the temple she was our mother and friend, guiding us and nurturing us on our journey through the spirals. In the background she was always supported by her loving husband John and her family, who we keep in our thoughts and prayers.

We will continue the temple in her honour and memory and hope that we will see her again when we eventually make our journeys to the Summerlands.
